Our concept film helps you to understand Shinnoki. Questions such as, what is Shinnoki? What is the difference between Shinnoki and a standard veneer panel? Processing films
1. CUTTING
In this short film we that Shinnoki can be processed both with an automatic slicing saw as with a traditional hand saw.
2. MITRE CUTTING
Shinnoki has always a MDF core (instead of chipboard like most melamine panels). This allows your MITRE work to stress the beauty of real wood even more This film shows how you make the best of your work.
3. THE PLACING OF A TOOL TO KEEP SLIDING DOORS STRAIGHT
You must use 2 sided Shinnoki veneered boards for the manufacture of sliding doors. The use of a door plate, is also recommended. That way you can fine tune the tension in the panel.
4. DRILLING AND MANUFACTURE
Shinnoki is covered with a protective film. We recommend this protective film is left in place during production so that the product is well protected during processing.
5. 3 PLY WITHOUT PRESSING
This film illustrates the 2 ways to glue 3 ply sheets. Firstly, with a cold press and also, with contact adhesive.
6. STANDARD WOOD VENEER EDGE BANDING
This is a brief illustration on how best to use the standard edge bandings. This process is identical for both the veneer edging and for the ABS edges). Note: the setting of the edge bands are identical as those for melamine edging. The Shinnoki edgings are finished and require different settings to unfinished veneer edge bandings.
7. PRE-GLUED EDGE BANDING
If you don't have a side band machine you can always use the pre-glued edges. It is also possible to add the ABS sides with contact adhesive.
